Plan your study sessions

Chinese Zero to Hero follows the HSK Standard Course textbook and has 10 units, 40 lessons.

To pass HSK 6, you need to put in about 2,200 hours of study time.

We suggest that you plan your study as follows:

That means, every two weeks:

• Spend about 2 hours going through this video course
• Spend about 2 hours finishing the exercises in the workbook
• Spend 32 hours going over the HSK 6 Expansion courses (历史与文明, 经贸商务, 地理人文, ...). Alternatively you can go over the YouTube 视频学习 section at the end of each lesson.

Additionally, spend about 1 hour and 30 minutes reviewing everyday. For best results, we suggest that you review what you studied the day before, 3 days ago, and 7 days ago.

If you follow this schedule, that means you'll be studying/reviewing for about 4 hours a day. Depending on your circumstances you can speed up or slow down the schedule.

Finally, if you haven't done so already, make sure to go through the Path to Fluency course for additional tips and resources to help you reach fluency.

If you do all that, you will pass HSK 6 with flying colors.
